Healing Mantra

“In three words I can sum up everything I’ve learned about life: it goes on.”

~ Robert Frost

Hopefully our yoga practice supports us in this. To assist us, we use positive verbal reinforcements. A mantra facilitates psychic surgery. With a clear mind, the repeating of a single word can help us generate confidence, love, strength, space, release, and more.

At some point we all need healing, and there is a powerful mantra that one should have in their toolbox. Not that you always need healing (hopefully you don’t), but so that it is within reach when you need it, a very simple and effective mantra is “I’m healing right now.” This can speak to physical pain, mental stress, or emotional trials.

Before we can help others, it is imperative that we first take care of ourselves. We’ve all heard the pre-fight message that instructs us, in the case of a loss of airplane cabin pressure, to place the mask that drops from the ceiling over our nose and mouth. If we are traveling with children, we are to put on our own mask first, and THEN assist one’s child.

And if you are traveling with two children, as a friend of mine used to always joke, “decide now which one you love more”.
